Is it worth constructing a small Carport?

Even with very limited space you can protect your vehicle by constructing a carport. They can be placed on the property anywhere – side, front or back of the house. This carport utilises the same driveway as the current double garage, but the carport is positioned on the left hand side and in front of the entrance to the home. As said earlier carports can be as small or large as needed, so if you only have the space for a single carport, DeKing can assist there also.

Utilise that wasted space at the side of your house

Recently purchased a vehicle, boat, caravan or camper trailer but don’t have any undercover storage for it?  Adding a carport using the space at the side of the house might be the perfect answer. You can even use the existing fence and the house wall in the carport build.

The size is only restricted by the house length, most homes comfortably could fit 1-3 vehicles. Great versatility as the area can also be utilised for entertaining outside.

Additional covered vehicle space in front of the existing garage

You’ve got the double garage, but still need more space? The addition of an attached carport in front of the garage may be the perfect solution.

This carport utilises the same driveway as the existing garage, but allows for two more vehicles to be parked undercover in front of the home.

Again, it’s a great sized area so it could easily be used for undercover entertainment outside.

NB. This can just as easily be completed with a single carport in front of a single garage.

A home for the caravan

Caravans are generally higher than a vehicle, and often they are too tall to fit inside the existing garage or carport.  If you find yourself in this situation, then think about constructing a roof that is designed especially for the caravan. It will protect your caravan from the weather and elements and help maintain the value of your investment.

This carport has some side walling in the design, which offers extra protection and also privacy from the street frontage. Using the existing driveway and adding the carport off to the left with a concrete slab is the perfect solution for a home for this caravan, with very limited space to work with.
